I'm not sure about the hair thing.
But for the peeing, you might go to the vet to get a full bill of health. He might have a urinary tract infection or some other medical problem interfering with his bladder.
Also, dogs won't soil their den area... like if they are confined they will try to not soil it if they have to stand or sit in it. With his bed, he can probably get away from it, correct? After he gets a clean bill of health from the vet, try crating. And make sure he is getting outside often enough. Try to take him out BEFORE he has to go potty, so that he's already outside when he has to pee or poop. =) And praise him like mad when he goes outside.
