The only thing you can do about him accidently eating loose hair is to continue to sweep and mop. It's happened to both my dogs a few times and it scared them half to death too. I bought a shark sweeper vac and it works great for picking up my loose hair, scattered litter, and pine needles that get tracked in the house. I run through my house everyday with the shark and especially in the bathroom where I brush my hair. It works great in the kitchen and entry ways where the floor is tiled. I take the big vacuum through the house once a week. My dogs haven't had a scarey poo incident since I bought the Shark.
