Green Discharge from Gums

My dog, a 8 year old shepherd mix, has had a green discharge from both sides of her lower gums for the past several months. The gums seem to be very inflamed.

I have treated with hydrogen peroxide and betadine generally tried to keep the gums clean, but the problem does not go away. In the morning, there is typically dried greenish goo that is caked to her fur underneath her gums. Other than this problem, her health seems to be fine; her teeth were recently cleaned but the problem persists.

I did give her keflex for a while and that did eliminate the discharge, but the problem returned shortly after she stopped taking the medication.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
