I did have the chance to groom a few Chows when I was in school, and I didn't find their coat to be anymore difficult than other double coated breeds (haha, which are all pretty difficult when I thing about it

). I think it's the drying time that can make you go nuts

There was a segment on the animal planet a while back pertaining to Chows. It showed Rosie, a pregnant Chow, and her entire birth process. I think that was when I became really interested in the breed. It was awesome to watch that. Really touching

: The owner talked about Rosie's temperament as being "aloof" and "independent". Then I talk to people who have worked with Chows in vet offices, or other areas, and they often talk about their "unpredictable personalities". I think maybe that's what always fascinated me so much about them. Maybe they remind me a little of my kitties
