Staffy's are the BEST. They are at the top of my list if I were ever to own a small dog.
Like Cass said, they ARE dog aggressive(not all of them) and can play pretty rough.
Even though they are small they are little power house's on four feet and could easily drag a small child around the block.
Every Staff I have met LOVED children and adored people. I have only met them at dog shows so its safe to say the one's I have met are from good breeders. I am not sure about BYB staff's...could be an entirely different story.
Something people must remember is they ARE bull dogs and have many of the same traits APBT's do. Dont get this breed unless you are experienced with the bully breeds or have researched them heavily, they are NOT like labs and spaniels.
If you're interested in this breed I would say to call the rescue or visit there website to get more information as to whether you are the right home for one of these dogs.
I dont know you so I cannot judge, but from what it sounds like you may not be the right type of home for these dogs.
Regardless, RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH, before even thinking of getting any dog.
