Also, I know you said you didn't want to adopt an older dog, but then if you did adopt an older (around two or three maybe?) Staffie, you would already know if it was dog-aggressive or not. That is a plus on the older dogs: their temperment is already "grown up".

EDIT: If you like the looks of the Bully Breeds but want a more dog friendly dog, perhaps you should look into the English Bulldogs? They are a medium size and they normally get along with other dogs pretty well. (It depends on the individual dog, of course.)
