I agree with Ritz459 that maybe an older Staffy (2-3yrs) would be better for you with regard to the dog agressiveness, that way you would know if he was or not. When we got our staffy he was 18months and was a real handfull (disobediant teenager, lol!!), admittedly we didn't really know enough about the breed, we have since gained a good understanding and can now handle the attitude and character that comes with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier they really are brilliant dogs but the dog agression can be a problem. Our boy is dog agressive and I am now resigned to the fact that nothing can be done about it other than keep him away from other dog unless its neccesary (vet visit and the like).
