Oh, ok. So he has to start with them when they are puppies?
Well, I have to advise/warn you: A Staffie puppy with an adult Yorkie may not be good match. Staffies play rough and when they are in their adolecent stage, they will be large with powerful jaws, trying to play with a little dog. I'm not saying it can't work out, but for an unexperienced dog owner that isn't used to large breeds, it may not be such a good idea. Not only could the dog turn out to be dog aggressive, it might have a prey drive.
I'd still go more for a Bulldog. They are more laid back and genrally don't have a high prey drive/dog aggression. They are also much more suited to a novice owner.
