My brother got me a copy of "Modern Dog Magazine" for christmas. It's a dog lover frou frou type magazine, but it had some very interesting articles in it.
One of which was about an "animal whisperer". Okay, first and foremost, I don't believe in Animal Whisperers. I think that they are well skilled in the body language of animals, but I don't believe they sit down and have conversations with the animals. I be a skeptic on that issue.
Anyways, this particular "dog whisperer" made some interesting comments. She was talking more on the vein of reincarnation. She apparantly talked to a few dogs, and that all souls intertwine and become different things the next lifetime around. Apparantly one dog wanted to be a dog in this life, because he wanted to know what it was like to be subserviant, because in the next one he planned on being a teacher.
But I thought that you have no say over what you'll reincarnate into?
Anyways, in that same topic, she mentioned that our animals are our soulmates, and that in every lifetime, somehow, some way we'll meet up with them again. What could have been your dog this life, could turn out to be a parent in the next life, or a sister, or you could be their dog.
The basic jist was that our animals souls are so intertwined with our own that even death can't tear that bond apart.
I have to admit, it's a really nice thought. I'd love to know that Gizmo and Beni will always somehow be around me no matter where I go or what life I end up in. I was curious to see what other people thought about it as well. Although I hope there's no religion bashing. I personally don't believe in reincarnation, but I most certainly don't look down on those who do.
