My friends 9 year old GSD dog was just recently diagnosed with diabetes, pancreatitis, and her galbladder had also ruptured and the fluid was poisoning her system. She has been admitted for a few days now at a 24 hr emergency hospital and I wasn't posting anything until I knew she was going to be okay. The husband was going to have her PTS cuz of the amount of money it was going to cost to fix her up, but his son had just come home from Iraq and it is his dog and he wanted to do everything he could to save his girl. He had only been home from Iraq for 2 days when she became ill. Anyways, the bill has come to $8,500 and could still go up because they want to do some other xrays on her

. Needless to say my friends experience made me no longer hesitate to apply for the VPI pet insurance for my 7 month old pup for only $20 dollars a month it seems well worth it to me. I got the superior plan which covers diagnostics, xrays, bloodwork, surgerys, etc. they also have a routine care coverage for the shots and stuff but I opted out of that cuz if I can't afford routine care then I shouldn't own a dog
Please say a little prayer for Sage, she is finally eating and will be coming home in a day or two.
