I guess this kinda concerns me because it's been quite a looong time since Gizmo has thrown up anything.

What does it mean when they vomit? Before when he was really small he'd throw up a little bit of bile, and that went away on its' own. Today we were outside and he was able to get to his poop before I did (it's hit or miss... have tried the canned pumpkin but it doesn't seem to help as much) and he ate his poop.

When we were outside again, he peed & pooped outside (yay!) and gave him a small piece of hotdog as a reward. I've given it to him before and it has never bothered him. However he just vomitted and it's a mixture of the poop and the weiner...

I can't imagine that eating poop is healthy for the dog, considernig it's full of bacteria... any ideas other than feeding canned pumpkin to help out? And what of the vomit? I'm thinking that it just upset his tummy and that he'll be okay now that it's out, or is it a symptom of something more?
