Here's some interesting info on feeding snakes...nothing I found so far says anything detrimental about hamsters, other than the feeding of live rodents can cause injury or even death to a snake on account of them biting the snake and that pre-killed rodents are actually better, that it is a misconception that snakes need live food. They are scavengers also and eat dead things.
