A reputable zoo that, "promotes "cross-breed interaction," according to the article. What purpose does that serve towards the well-being and safety of the animals?
Kaz, I'm no expert, so just from what I've read... their fur is difficult to digest (and even the dwarf species obviously have more fur then mice and rats), and they're fatty for most snakes. And some time ago I read something about them being insufficient- not enough meat or something? I can't even remember.
The hamster isn't stressed until the snake's prey drive (and appetite) kicks in...
