our dog keeps vomiting

Just a year ago we got a very cute old english sheepdog from Florida and since just about 2 weeks ago, she has been vomiting a lot lately. She tends to do it during the morning before I go to school and late at night when we feed her. We did change her food and for some reason it didn't help at all. When she does get sick it tends to come out small and the coloring is like a pale white-ish yellow. My dad said that some of the times that she has vomited were after she had a sip of water but I wouldn't think it would be the water seeing as how, we've had her for a year, and she's been drinking the same water since we got her and this just started happening 2 weeks ago. After she does get sick, her stomach makes really loud gurgling noises like as if she's hungry. My parents and I don't know what the problem could be and I did read something about how if dog's eat wood then that could cause stomach aches. She has eaten wood before by accident, the wood is called "apple wood" but I'm not sure if that is really the problem at all. She was in heat for about a week (last week) and I'm not sure if even that could contribute to it either. If anyone could help then I'd be very grateful!
