Well, if the neighbors are so uncaring as to do anything to control their own dogs, you can't be expected to sit back and be walked all over. I would let them know how you're not appreciating that their dogs are coming over right on your front door step and starting fights with your dogs. If they don't do something about it, then you have every right to call animal control. It is a dilema when you don't want to have animosity with the neighbors and yet.....what can you do? I feel for you.

A sting from a bb gun wouldn't be so bad to chase them off. I think it would deter them, plus the popping sound....just so long as you're a good shot and can get them in the rear area, not the face. And so long as it's not a pump gun, just a regular bb gun that won't cause penetration. Or just shooting over head might be enough.
