What type of dog do you have? I missed your other thread, so not sure what has happened. I do know that there is a disease, cannot think of the name off the top of my head. I think it typically accurs in dobermans, where their brains grow faster than the skull, causing pressure and very bad behavior issues. I am saying this because you mentioned the word "snapped" in your post. I have a freind who had one of the best dogs I have ever seen and then she started to exhibit "strange" behavior. They attributed it to growing pains, and puppyhood. (After trips to the vet with no result). Then one day her baby woke up from a nap, proceeded to lunge at my freind on the couch and attack her. So badly that her husband had to pull the dog off and throw him in the basement, but not after loosing a finger on him, and my friend had to have her ear re-attached and 40+ stiches in her face.
All this from this cranial disorder, I hope this is not what is wrong with your dog. Please let us know how the MRI went. I wish I could rememeber what it is called.
