With so much at stake, conflicts brew just beneath the surface - and practically everyone will do almost anything to prove their pet is not just a one-trick pony.

Here's where I have problems with that article, not to mention I probably wouldn't actually watch the show.

Point by point of the parts I selected to comment on.

This doesn't have anything to do with what the dog wants. It isn't for the animals, it's for their owners, they are the ones wanting to make the headlines.

I cannot stand celebrities that push their children into or obsess about them becoming celebrities themselves.

It's a pet peeve of mine when people dress up their dogs unless it is for a specific reason to protect against the elements. Sure, it may look "cute", but a dog isn't worried about looking "cute", or doggie "fashion".

Jeez, what exactly is it that is at stake here. That their dog isn't in the newspaper, and maybe gets back to being able to be a DOG! Come on now.

Beryl, this isn't directed at you! I'm just staing my opinion on the article itself.
