We were on Vandenberg AFB, the coat line where all the missile sites are. My husband is retired AF. He was in the missile field for his 20 year career, and now is an engineer for Boeing, installing intercepter missiles here and in Ft. Greely Alaska. We may go to Poland next year too. At first we were not sure what country would be the first. We know Australia wants the missiles, but they were not quick enough I suppose. I was really hoping to go there.
The base has 35 miles of shoreline, and it's so peaceful. I rarely see anyone else at the beaches or riding around all the roads by the beach. All you hear is the waves and some birds. Nice!!
