My life in a nutshell
I'm still painting the barn. I finished all the trim around three windows and a door frame and the sofit and facia boards as well. The facia was a new board so it required two coats of paint, the first one just sucked right into the wood and left streaks so I repainted it. Tomorrow I'll do the walls and then I'll be done. Whew it's been a marathon but I wanted to get it done before we get more rain here, which according to the weather people, will be on Thursday or Friday.
I've been contacted by Sheltie rescue and asked to foster another dog until they can find a home for him. I guess he will be inspected on Tuesday and if he's full sheltie they will remove him from this kill shelter he's in. But if he's not a purebred sheltie they can't take him. That's sad but they simply have no room for any mixes right now. Generally they adopt the dogs out very fast and I know they have a bunch of applications to fill but several dogs still need vet care and can't be placed. One has a bad yeast infection in it's ears and the other is waiting for a dental and a spay and another is being treated for heartworm. So the inn is full right now. I sure hope this little guy is a full sheltie I'd really like to have another one in the house for a little while. So if they accept him I'll get him on Wednesday night right after our lesson and I'm likely to be doing double duty in training for a while with Brandi preparing for her CGC and TDI and this new guy who I'm sure doesn't know a thing about obedience. That's ok I'd rather do that than sit and read or play on the computer all day long.
