Have:
Black Lab - Without a second thought. Labs are the best, especially the black ones. But I'm not baised, no siree *glances at Blackie*. Large, active, yet laid back, smart, trainable, protective, loyal....I could go on. Sadie was the best girl as well...I always want a black Lab in my life.

Mutt - One of known heritage preferably, but I'll have to say yes. Although unpredictability is a down side; Rose acts nothing like the breeds in her mix.

Collie/Aussie mix - Maybe. Chloe has an energy level like no other and she has a LOT of hair. I'm just glad it doesn't tangle. But I love her intelligence, sweetness, size, and looks. Her bark is another thing....

Had:

Alasken Malamute - Yes. Loupie was the best girl. The downsides are dog aggression, prey aggression, and shedding.

Cattle dog/GSD mix - maybe. Brownie was very highstrung and had the most annoying bark. She was a sweet girl though.
