How frustrating for you!
I can't believe she was seriously going to have the dog put down just because it chewed her daughter's dresser... that is crazy (and scary, too)!! I don't know how some people think that their new pets will come completely trained and well-mannered, and that they don't have to keep up training. I feel sorry for you having to live with neighbours like these.
