The #1 ingred. in those foods is Rice. They split it up so it isn't the first ingredient... but really its mostly rice. Dogs don't need ANY rice but rice is cheap and so they market it and people buy it.

Nutro Max is some skeazy kibble. It's nutro's lowest quality line.. Vets are often taught by dog food companies about nutrition and recieve inadequate knowledge. A vet saying yay that kibble is good is many time a key to no it's really not. Nutro max puppy has no lamb.

There's more crap in that than there is meat. A whole lot of filler and some chicken is not a quality food.

Kirkland dog food made by Diamond is conveniently sold at Costco's world wide. Last time I checked it was 17.99-23.99 [depending where you live] for a 40lb bag, depending on the formula. Due to the price many are lead to believe that this food is just another low quality dog food. Actually Kirkland dog food falls in about the middle of the food quality spectrum.

What I feed my little ones, but its like feeding one big dog, since there are four of them....they last me a long time since I get the 40lb one. My dogs are very picky about foods, but love Kirkland. Pepe doesn't hve skin problems nymore since being on Kirkland. Very GOOD dog food for very low price.
