Welcome. The only advice I can give you is to not be in a big hurry. Spend some time reading our breeding forum, the stickies on top and the other discussions. Go to the AKC site and see what you can find out. It's always good to go to shows and talk to people there. Anyone can put up a handsome website and say all the right things, but that doesn't prove that they are a responsible breeder who will put out good, healthy, conformationally correct, good temperamented dogs. Reputable breeders often have waiting lists for their litters. If you can find a puppy right off the bat or if there's an add in the newspaper, it is most likely an irrepuptable breeder and you want to stay clear of them. It takes lots of patience and time before getting a pup. I would spend some time learning about training, socializing, nutrition and behavior before even starting to look at dogs to buy. Be patient. You'll be glad you were.
