We started out this afternoon with the intention of going to the park with Dakota, and halfway there we stopped at an intersection and there was a small black dog running around in the middle of the street. (Of course, idiots were honking at her, scaring her half to death)
I got out and caught her, and we brought her home.. She's sleeping right now in Ripley's crate. She is the sweetest little thing, very quiet and not demanding at all. Tomorrow I will be calling around different shelters to see if anyone has lost a sweet little dog.. I checked her teeth and she does have adult teeth, but if I judged by her teeth I wouldn't say she was over 2 years old.
What I'm posting about is her breed. I have a couple of pictures of her that I took with a cellphone. I think she looks like a Basenji, or a Senji mix, but I didn't know they were so small! (She's only about 10lbs)
I'm hoping, if nobody claims her, that I can keep her or at the very least foster her. She's a nice little dog, very low maintenance and seems to have a pretty good attitude. If she's not aggressive with the boys, she'd fit in well around here. (Yes, I am a sucker!
