Whew. That would have been frightning! I had a similer experience with Blackie. A couple of days after we had just started keeping the dogs kennled unless somebody is out there with them, I foolishly decided to put Rose on the leash, and let Blackie run, thinking, "Hey. If Rose sticks around when Blackie is on lead, maybe Blackie will stick around when Rose is on lead." Trust me, don't ever think that. As soon as I let Blackie off lead, he took of running right into the territory of dogs that hate him and vise versa. So I took off back to the house (we were in our feild) and told Mom what happend. So she got into the car, drove to pick up Blackie (who, BTW, was soaking wet after jumping in the creek, and was snarfing with the two Aussies that hate him). She brought him home, no big problems cause, and Blackie is now not allowed of lead unless he is tired and we are right up next to the house. lol
I'm glad everything turned out ok, and I thank that guy who helpped you out big time.
