It's a horrible practice that was done away with for a reason----I would adamantly ask you not to do it, if I actually thought you could talk any vet into it, but I doubt you will find one who will ever approve of something so outdated and unnecessary----sorry the pup is giving you trouble, but they grow out of it with age and training, try to just be patient with the little guy
