Duke has DCM (Dilated Cardiomyopathy)
and a heart arrhythmia, which is basically the worst possibility. Without meds he has weeks, with meds he has months, but the meds don't start until they wean him off the oxygen. Even with or without the meds, he could literally die at any time. He'd be on four different medications, whose names I don't even remember at this point. He stayed overnight at the clinic last night, and will be there again tonight, and if I'm lucky he *might* come home tomorrow. I'm trying to be optimistic, but my hope is dwindling at this point.
