thats true....once they are "old" its not quite the same, but for puppies and prime age dogs it can make things a lot worse...old snow dogs (like my parents)
can be (though not always) better off being cut down. Their fur doesnt work the same or grow in the same once they reach a certain age. My parents dog is part Husky, and turning mostly grey now...
