Why did you choose your dog?
Winston ~ he was a gift from my parents when my first pug was killed.
Oscar ~ He just needed a home. Had a family that kept him in a dirt backyard, 24/7, in Las Vegas, year round.
Bentley ~Another pug that needed a home. After being found abandoned along a highway, sitting at a shelter for a week, then having 4 homes in 4 months, it was time he got some stability back in his life.
Raisin Some folks in Idaho contacted me about him, asked me to take him. Their son had really bad allergies, they tried very hard to make it work, but it just didn't for them. They saw me post a lot on a pug site, and asked me if I would take him. And so I drove up there and got the little fella back in April.
What do you like about your dogs?
Winston.. he's my heart dog. My serious mamma's boy. Very intelligent, picks up things fast. He is the only one of the four I raised from a baby, so I think we have an extra solid bond.
Oscar.. he's just my big ole teddy bear. Easy to please! Give him a butt scratch, some food and a soft place to sleep and he's a happy camper.
Bentley.. he's my fetch obsessed pug. He'll play fetch forever. He's sitting here right now, eyeballing his ball on my desk, imploring me to throw it for him. I also love his fondness for water.. cracks me up.
And
Raisin.. oh my. The eternal puppy. Looks like a puppy, probably will always have that puppy look. SO much ENERGY. It's endless. He plays and plays and plays, then BOOM, crash and burn. He's so innocent. So naive. So completely, without a doubt.. HAPPY. He radiates happiness. I love that about him. He's a little cuddly lover.
What do you dislike about your dog?
Drawbacks.. the shedding. Pugs shed.. A LOT. And I have to watch them very closely during the summer.. pugs have a tendency to overheat, quickly. That's about it.
