Hooch was hit by a car early this morning!!!!!!!
I was getting ready to take the dogs out for their morning walk. I went out the front door to get the mail but did'nt close the wood door (I blame myself) and so just the flimsy screen door that opens with a push was between my dogs and the street. Hooch hates when i leave him inside. He busted through the screen door and went to cross the street to join me at the mail box just as a car was approaching. I screamed for Hooch to drop but he did'nt obey and WHAM was knocked about two feet in the air.
I screamed and ran to him weird thing was he was totally alert like nothing happened even tried to stand up. I really was afraid of him standing but he still would'nt listen and stood favoring his right from leg a great deal. he was bleeding from his head and a few scraps on his wonderful wrinkles this entire time he was whining and licking my face.
I rushed him to the vet and this is the list of his injuries.
Right front leg broken in two places he may need pins in it
three ribs on the left side broke
1 rib on the left broken
Consusion
tons of bumps bruises and scrapes
Stiches in his head and inside of his left thigh
He's going to be in the veterinary hospital for a few days maybe more considering their thinking he's going to need surgery in his right front leg. He's also in alot of pain despite his standing and joy in seeing me. They said he has a healthy appetite and thats not a problem but their still monitoring the poor boy.
I was there for 5 hours
. i will be visiting him everyday until he comes home probley twice a day and im calling this evening just to check up.
Please pray for my sweet boy he's pretty sore. Oh yeah and he's going to be the laughing stock of the beach he has to where a cone

Its weird only having three dogs in the house...............
