My dogs are always changing and therefore my likes/dislikes about them change as well.
Ripley:
Why did you choose your dog(s)?
I chose Rip because he suited what I wanted in a dog. I had specified that I wanted a small, athletic dog that could still be a 'lap dog'. (Hee hee.. Well, he -is- small.

)
What do you like about your dog(s)?
Ripley has to be one of the most intelligent dogs I've met. He's an independent thinker, his problem-solving skills are amazing. Agility is a snap for him, he is fast and agile. He's quite the communicator and will go to great lengths to get me to understand what he wants.
What do you dislike about your dog(s)?
His weak nerves and aggressive tendencies, his lack of focus and his piercingly loud bark.
Dakota:
Why did you choose your dog(s)?
I wanted a larger dog, preferably a herding breed, that I could compete with in agility. My agility instructor had just placed her litter of Border Collie pups, but one couple who had reserved the little black/white male had gotten a divorce and decided against getting a pup.
I was in a good position to bring a pup into the family, and one thing led to another..
What do you like about your dog(s)?
Almost everything. He is intelligent and eager to learn. He is a very stable dog, tolerant of children and friendly to everyone. He is a very fun dog, he'd play for hours if I'd let him. I have also never had a dog with such a biddable personality. He acts like my servent, often times he will just come and sit in front of me as if to ask "Can I do anything for you?". He's showing a lot of promise as a working dog.
What do you dislike about your dog(s)?
He's a doofus. He has been very late to mature and often I wonder if he will ever mature mentally. He does some of the dumbest, most puppyish things (running into walls, for example.) and doesn't have any sense at all when it comes to things that could hurt him, and he's really quite clumsy at times. Really, though, this is just the leftover puppy stuff and I'm confident that some if not all of it will be corrected in time. There is not much to dislike about Dakota, he doesn't have any truly bad qualities.
