Well, Rose "A-rooos" at me when she is happy, but she is also a big user of body language to tell me what she is feeling/wanting.
Blackie isn't vocal at all in comunicating, unless I'm not outside when I normally am, and then he barks once, waits a second, barks again, waits a while, barks again, etc., etc. unitl I come out. He uses his tail and his ears to communicate most of the time.
Rush (my cat) is the ruler of us all. He'll meow and pester us when he is out of food or water, and when he is outside and he wants in, he'll knock on the door. (It freaked me out the first time I heard it because it was the dead of the night and I thought somebody was trying to break in. lol But then I realized two things: The dogs weren't barking and I heard meowing. lol) And then He'll also hiss, and give us warning swats if we are annoying him.
