I agree with Richnrissa. The vet will need these questions answered. If it's an on again off again type thing I doubt very much it would be parvo. Adults with parvo don't always show as acute of symptoms but the runs wouldn't stop and then start again as your saying.

Never hurts to give the vet a ring though and see what they would like for you to do.
