about declawing

did you know that declawing a cat actually requires amputation of the end of the digit? Most vets around here won't declaw anymore but instead use "soft paws" (capping the end of the nail with soft rubber)
I can't imagine what your cat would do to your aptment with her claws-- wreck *your* furniture perhaps but why would the apt management care?
They will force you to declaw your cat but they allow dogs? Hmmmm
