Welcome!

In your gallery, click on the picture so that it comes on there in it's larger form. Then click on it (I think right click. (?)) And a box will come up. Click properties. On the left another box will come up and there's a URL address. Highlight that and right click and hit copy. Then go to your thread (advanced, not quick reply) and right click and hit paste. The URL address will come on the post. Then go on top and you'll see a little yellow box with mountains I think pictured....one of those icon thingys. Click that and it will put tags around your URL. Then when you send the post, the picture should show up.

What I do is sign on twice, once to get at my gallery and then I make the page disappear but not really gone.....that little minus sign next to the box and x when you sign off of a page. And then I sign on again to work with the thread. I can go back and forth easily if I have lots of pictures to post.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you. Or let someone know who is more computer literate. LOL. Can't wait to see your picture!
