Is it above ground or inground, have a deck around it?? etc. I know dogs that will wade into water when no one is around, but they don't go swimming much unless you're throwing stuff for them to get. No matter what type of pool, just make sure the dog knows how to get out and where the steps are. I still wouldn't leave a dog unsupervised around a pool, just like I wouldn't leave a child unsupervised either.
