It really depends on the dog in question. If the dog is up for it then there shouldn't be any reason not to go for a nice walk if they've had at least three or four days to heal and the incision looks ok. A bit different with the males as there is always the additional risk of swelling that should be watched but no reason why after a few days without complications for them not to go.
I wouldn't recommend going long distance, hiking or anything like that for a bit yet but a nice short walk shouldn't be a problem. jmo
