Samson has beautiful eyes..As for Blue Buffalo food I've never heard of it.. Have you tried Diamond brand. They have a puppy formula (Premium Edge) that has Chicken rice & veges or Chicken Soup for the dog lovers soul.. Theres alot out there. Have you check the local feed stores?
