Brindle is an acceptable coloring in Bostons, and the "red" Bostons I saw at Google Images look like light brindles... But I question any breeder who advertises puppies for sale, and breeds for a color variety like that -- who knows what health problems they're allowing through their breeding program to intensify the red color, you know? A good breeder needs to consider all traits of the dog in correct proportion... when a breeder throws one huge factor like that out the window, you can bet they're not being terribly careful with a lot of other factors.
If you really want a "red" Boston, I would contact breeders through the parent club website and ask about a brindle. Buying an advertised puppy is often a risky move. Respectable and reputable breeders know that people who are really interested will approach them.
