There are many avenues available for responsible owners with good dogs to pursue. There is personal protection training, and sports like KNPV, Schutzhund, French Ring. Do some research to find what's available in your area.

A club or trainer should want to know a lot about you and 'test' your dog's temperament and suitability for this kind of work. More dogs wash out than are accepted, so be prepared.
