I've officially renamed Christmas, Santamas, since it's really about the worship of Santa Claus. Fits in nicely with my new religion 'Kringlism', don'tcha think?

Santamas was pretty good, except for two small but annoying exceptions. My cousin's children. They have got to be, especially his daughter, the rudest most objectionable children I've ever met.

First day at my new job was not a disaster, but it was horrible nonetheless.
Because it's a shop, the worst thing was the fact that I don't know the prices of anything yet. It makes serving customers incredibly terrifying for someone who's as socially phobic as I am.
I pretty much hid around the back busying myself with whatever I could find and what no one else wanted to do.
I did do admin work in the morning before I went to the shop, though and I loved that. I'm far better...

It's also a wonderful airline that is going to take me to visit my mother sooner than I expected.
I've been very depressed and stressed out lately, looking for work and worrying that I'll never be able to earn the cash to return to Africa to do more community work next year. It's driving me mad.

Summer is nearly upon us once again down here in the southern hemisphere and I'm not happy about it one bit.
Daylight savings kicked in over this last weekend and not only am I suffering from heat exhaustion from the hot weather (which I keep reminding myself is icy cold compared to Dubai ) my body clock is all muddled up too. Apparently it's 7.49pm, but my brain still tells me it's 6.49pm.
Oh what fun.
