I just entered Razael with a picture I took of her yesterday having such a wonderful time playing in the flowers and she was so captivated with the fish.

They are Oenothera speciosa "Woodside White". They come in white, yellow and pink. They are also spreaders. Each year you have more and more. I can send you the seeds from the middle of the blossoms if you like. They are a very hardy plant.

They are absolutely gorgeous and I certainly need to read up about them! Calgal, that's a really lovely gesture, but unfortunately Australian Quarantine would most likely discard of them. They are very strict with plant and organic material.

I tried to upload a photo of Kelso into the contest, and I'm choosing the April 2008 album but it keeps uploading it to my regular album. Is there issues with the gallery? Or is it there and this computer just isn't showing it correctly?

OOPS never mind. I didn't realize that MAY is for the flowers. I got confused with the whole April showers thing. LOL Just goes to show how blonde I am.

I feel like I should know, but are cropped photos considered digitally altered? And does the photo need to be a certain size when I submit it or anything?

I don't think you have to resize it. Yes it can be cropped to my knowledge I always crop my pictures.

Cropping is acceptable, my pictures always look better after a good crop

Digitally altered means more of the fake/fancy stuff, like touching-up photos, adding props or a backdrop after the picture is taken.

Plant material is like one of the biggest things they confiscate, because there's a huge risk of plants/seeds etc carrying bugs or diseases. But I know they let some stuff through, because when we came back from Austria, we had packets of edel weisse seeds. They were going to take them off us but they checked them out and said they were fine.
