US Supreme Court agreed to hear and rule on whether selling videos of dog fighting and animal abuse is free speech. The case will most likely be ruled on in October. The appeals court ruled last year that selling and profiting from videos of animal abuse and dog fighting is free speech.

The fact that this is being ruled on is beyond me. Since when does abuse constitute free speech no matter what manner it is displayed in? It should automatically be excluded from the free speech defense. I think if it ever does become protected by free speech laws, you can bet abuse and pride in that abuse is going to spike even further than it already has, which is a shocking thing to contemplate. o.O;
