let's work
|
hello we had a major brakethrough today. on my way to pass out more flyers we stoped at a little park, i had all the dogs with me because they were supposed to work anyways and i thought I find a nice spot on the way. wich i did! Well aika loves to play ball but doesn't even thinbk about bringing it back, anka loves to jump for sticks but even she doesn't like to carry them. So i gave up on it quite a while... Well i thought they should know it with nine month but appearantly they didn't feel like it yet. and so far everything came i just had to be paitent, but this came very suddon-or did i just miss the transitions??? When we went to the lake, they ran after mon to the point where she picked up the stick.and came back, they never got tired of it, but if i threw more sticks they didn't care. I just had the ball on the rope with me today and so they ahd to deal with that, i never used it for them. anka was first: she ran after the ball and pointed out to me that it is laying infront of her, but didn't pick it up. second rund was the same, the third run she carried it a little bit, then she found out how wonderfull that thing is to play tug with and after that it was done. she ran fetched it and came straight back to me. i had a blast and she did, too. then it was aikas turn, thought she would be faster because she likes balls, but no she ran her little heart out untill she reached the ball, and stoped pointing it out to me, so i tried to initiate a tuggame, but she didn't like it. so i threw it again, and she ran and stoped. that was about three or four more times until she picked it up as soon as she had it in her mouth i praised as much as i could and then i think it clicked, because she was more then realiable with doing it after that, she prefered the waterwork, well I used a sticjk there, but i think it is not the toy-she just looooves water. guess there must be a fish somewhere in the pedigree. Must be wierd pedigree anyways , must be an hunter horse in there , too. because Anka is a **** good in jumping fences... anyways i was so happy all day long, that just made my day. and as a thing -just by the way- they pay attention to me , and just to me, no walkers no kids playing could distract them, and that in a total different invironment. I was so stunned. i think i get them back on track, just have to work them alone for quite some time. Well I just anted to share that with you!!! One of our little brakethroughs..... |
