Stealing?

Zeus has begun to steal! I mean really steal..he keeps getting corrected and as soon as he knows u aren't looking he'll do it again. What does he steal you ask? Potatoes! He keeps stealing my potatoes, even opens the cabinet door where I started keeping them (because he was stealing them) and gets them out. I don't know what else to do.

lol well I must say thats a first for me. Can you up a child lock on your cabinet door? That would probibly keep him out.

LOL! I was washing potatoes maybe two years ago and one fell on the floor. Before I could pick it up, May sniffs at it, picks it up and goes downstairs to her favorite napping spot to nuzzle her potato

. We never ate that potato of course, later we threw it out, LOL.

lol..I put the child locks on the door and he stood there smacking at the door and whineing like you wouldn't believe so my 3 yr old took it off, now I have no idea where it is. I don't know but he seems to be obsessed with them I've thrown out 3 potatoes in the past hour, I finally peeled and sliced one for him and the other 2 dogs to share but that didn't help..lol

LOL. Hope everything turns out OK.....I have no idea what you should do, I've never heard of a doggie stealing potatoes!

Can you put a lock on the door? One that needs a key. So your little one can't get into it either?

A magnetic child lock works wonders, and you can keep the "key" way out of your 3 year old's reach. We've had to do that w/ our cabinets, but unfortuntely, our 2 year old has figured out how to open them if he gets hold of the magnet key. So, we just keep it way up where he can't get to it and the problem is solved.

You can get the locks at Babies R Us or any store like Home Depot.

She'll steal anything that's edible. LOL Plus, since she's so big, she can just swipe her mouth over the table and viola!

But, she hasn't figured out the cabinets yet. *knock on wood*

I'm sorry but that sounds so cute! I would love to see some pics of the potatoe thief! I keep my potatoes in a hanging basket in my pantry. I suppose if you exhaust all ideas and you really want to stop her from snatching the potatoes you could try bitter apple on a few and let her get a taste. I have never used bitter apple on my dogs but it works on the Chinchilla when he was chewing on the walls. After a few days he quit chewing them and never touched them since. Poor little chin-chin I bet that stuff tastes awful! I felt really bad for doing it but I couldn't think of anything else to do since we rent out house.

ok so I realized that sounds wierd...
I LOVE stuffed monkeys, we have a ton in our room...
Kino steals them, off the dresser, off the wall, out from under the bed, etc. He walks out of the room and as soon as I notice it ill yell at him to drop it, he does, then keeps walking like he never had it...its cute. but they are my monkeys.
