Penny passed the Therapy Dogs International test last night.

We plan to visit area schools to educate elementary children on dog safety and responsible pet ownership.

Congrats! That's great and getting a breed out that's in danger of BSL is even MORE fantastic! Way to go with your training! Fantastic!

We "did" TDI for a year but with their new rules, we're looking for another organization to belong to. (Since you can't belong to TDI and another organization... I would rather belong to another. I don't like being confined... ha)

If you wouldn't mind, sharing your info on responsible dog ownership would be great, and a PM is just fine. It's always been and is a touchy subject I don't approach with kids unless it's directed at me. I never want to turn them against their parents.

That is SO awesome!! Congrats!!

That's something we want to do with at least a couple of our crew...Duchess, especially! We'll get her out at the dog shows when some of the physically or mentally challenged kids/adults come around, and she is SO good with them. She'll wait patiently while they pet her and love on her, and give them little kisses. This is the same dog that will practically molest any one else that comes near her, if she knows them well. It's like she senses when she needs to be gentle, and she does it.

Congrats again, and big hugs to Penny!!!

She's a great ambassador for the breed!!
