Question how to stop a puppy from biting

hi, our Misty is about 10 weeks old and she loves to bite. we have tried NO and Dont Bite, she stops immidiately but few seconds later back to biting hands, faces, feet, or anything she can reach. i understand she`s teething, i`d be going insane if i had so many teeth come out at once too. what is an appropriate action that we should take? we`ve tried giving her a toy or bone to chew on as soon as she starts biting, even biting back, which worked on my other dogs when they were pups. so what now? open to all and any sugestions

this will go on for a while unfortunately. you just have to be consistant. a loud "yelp" from you when she bites & then give her a proper chew toy. i wouldnt bite her back though. i bet there are plenty of threads on this. lucy chewed & bit for a while & was very mouthy. but then it just stops-one of the many phases they go through. its something they have to do as they are dogs. what breed is she? good luck...

Puppies bite, that is how they explore their world. They don't have hands.

However, you need to give your puppy acceptable things to chew on and bite on.

So keep various puppy safe chew toys, stuffed toys, chews in your hands ALL the times. When she starts biting, subsitute an acceptable item for her to bite on, and praise her when she starts chewing it. it will take time, but she will get it.
