My Lucky #7

Well, i realized what type of training ive been thinking of for A.j. I used to call it just all-around training, but just the other day i noticed that ive just been training him stuff that movie dogs do. I have decided A.j. would be a great commercial/movie dog, since everyone seems to think hes so cute.
So, i was just wondering if anyone has trained for this or have a dog thats been in a movie/commercial before? Im kind of feeling this is a very big goal for us, considering im only fourteen. Maybe i should just lower it to A.j. being a model for photography and possibly magazines for now. Anyway, i just was hoping someone would have some expiriences with this or some info on it. If all works out well, i might train Sophie for commercials/movies. I can really imagion her as the next Benji. But, seriously, IMO she would make a good, scruffy, stray dog. And to add to that, shes smart and has attitude. She has been doing really good with her aggression, too. The other day Sophie and i went and sat outside the store while my sister shopped, at least 10 different people passed us, some big and lound, others small and nervous-acting. Sophie only growled at one of them because he started to run towards the door so it wouldnt close on him. She was on a loose leash the whole time and to shush her growling i just gently nudged her and she stopped. And as for her fear with running children, my sister babysat 5 hyper, annoying kids yesterday. Sophie was outside with us as the kids played tag. The only one she attacked was my sister, and it was just playfully. (gah, here i go, going off-topic agian ) |

I think what you need to do is to get your dog active in obedience and any other kind of dog sports or training you can. Then get the dog an agent (yes...the animals have agents too
). I found these sites through google... http://www.animal-actors.com http://www.animalactorsagency.com/Dogs_Medium_Hm.htm There are many more agencies, so look around. But it might give you an idea to look at these sites. Cass. |
