Stealing food

Muffin has been stealing Mufasa's food. I watch them while they eat, but Muffin's quick and I don't get there in time to stop her. Mufasa doesn't get as much as her (he's the chi), so she can get it all in one bite. Mufasa doesn't do anything about it. I try telling her "leave it" but she doesn't listen. Does anyone know what to do?

Seperate them for feeding. Keep them on different ends of the room, or in completely different rooms. If you have a crate for Mufasa, have him eat in his crate.

If they're far enough apart, and you are in fact watching them, it won't be as hard to stop her from eating it. Being in different rooms would be ideal and standing by Mufasa's bowl is what I would do. The minute I saw Muffin coming in for his bowl "Ah-ah!" and redirect her out of the room, praising her when she's where I want her.

Basically IceyBlueSibes said it all, basically just replying to say that I agree with the suggestions given.
