Proud Parent!
I'm so proud of River and how he's doing in his obedience classes - we've been passed out of grade 4 and into a novice trialling class which we've so far done 2 lessons in and he's doing really well (we're one of those cases where the dog is great but the handler needs some work ) and tonight he did his first ever off lead heelwork at school - and he stuck right be me the whole time I really thought he was going to go into "park mode" but since I was specifically asked to remove his lead I thought I'd give it a go - turns out I needn't have worried - he thought we were playing a brilliant game between us!!

He's also doing really well with agility - he's got the whole concept of weaving now and is even starting to get it with me on his right side and he absolutely LOVES the A-frame and dog walk and has just taken to it all like a natural. Sometimes he does love it a little too much and doesn't want to wait at the start but he's making huge improvements there as well!

I just wanted to share my boy's minor achievements with you all - he really is a great dog and I am so lucky to have him as my first "training" dog - he's so forgiving of my little stuff ups

And a recent pic of him just cos he's so handsome!

Thanks everyone - and BB I'm absolutely busting to get some pics of him doing agility myself - only problem is classes are held at 9 at night and it's the middle of winter so I'm short of volunteers to take them for me

Hopefully I should be able to get some at the beginning of October when my little brother is staying with us for a while - I hope you can wait that long!

I'm so happy he's doing so well. What a smart boy he is and heck yeah he's handsome. One of the most gorgeous dogs I've ever seen.
When the weather starts to warm up a bit, I hope you'll share pictures of him doing his thing too. Maybe some video? Wish I lived in your state, I'd come along and watch.
